UNEAGES (Union of Education, Agriculture & General Services Workers) of GFL was formed through the merger of two unions, bringing together a wealth of experience in trade union leadership and administration. Registered in 2011, we focus on mobilizing workers in the private sector across multiple industries.
Our origins trace back to PRISTEG (Private School Teachers & Educational Workers Union of Ghana), which faced significant challenges organizing in private schools characterized by exploitation and intimidation. This experience shaped our commitment to protecting workers' rights.
As a founding member of the Ghana Federation of Labour (GFL), UNEAGES represents a new era of trade union pluralism in Ghana, emerging after the 1992 Constitution opened the way for multiple labour centers.
Our leadership brings extensive experience in Industrial Relations Practice, Human Resource Management, Planning Monitoring & Evaluation, and Organizational Management to effectively serve our members.
We are affiliated with the Ghana Federation of Labour (GFL), International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC Africa & Global), International Union of Food (IUF) global, and International Transport Workers Federation (ITF), and are members of Organized Labour of Ghana.

UNEAGES (Union of Education, Agriculture & General Services Workers) is a trade union affiliated with the Ghana Federation of Labour (GFL). We organize and represent workers across multiple sectors including education, agriculture, food processing, manufacturing, and general services.
We organize workers in Food Processing, Aviation Services, Agriculture Export Processing, Manufacturing, Goods and Services Distribution, Advertising and Designing, Informal Economy, and Horticulture outgrowers cooperatives.
Workers in our focus sectors can join through their workplace organizing committees or contact our secretariat directly. We help workers organize unions in their workplaces and provide representation and protection.

Our main secretariat is in Tema Community 12, Estod Building near the Tema-Ashaiman Overhead road. We also have an office in Palma House, Adabraka, Nii Wuluku Street in Accra.
